Hackers claim to have published the personal information of five million Qantas customers on the dark web after the airline missed a ransom deadline. Qantas is among more than 40 companies worldwide affected by the breach, which is believed to involve up to one billion customer records.
The cybercriminal group Scattered Lapsus$ Hunters had earlier posted an extortion message on a dark web leak site, demanding payment to stop the release of the stolen data.
